Invite The Greens - Thunder Clap

Nicola Sturgeon, Jim Murphy and Ruth Davidson have all backed our inclusion, alongside 7,500 members of the public. We need to keep putting the pressure on STV to reconsider.


 STV are hosting a live debate in April with the leaders of four of Scotland’s five political parties. Their current plan is to exclude the Greens despite our consistent polling equal to or ahead of the Liberal Democrats and the prominent role we played in last year’s referendum, including Patrick Harvie’s appearance on STV’s own set-piece referendum debate alongside Nicola Sturgeon and Ruth Davidson.

With other broadcasters in Scotland and at UK level giving the Greens a place on their debate platforms, STV risk being completely out of step with public opinion and their fellow broadcasters. The UK broadcasters listened to the overwhelming public demand to hear from the Greens, we can do the same in Scotland.
