Political Compass Party Update for 2015

UK Political Parties 2015
At last we have an update by the site The Political Compass to include the parties standing in 2015.

There are quite a few marked differences in this new graph compared to the one from 2010. For comparison purposes here's the illustration of 2010:

UK Political Parties 2010

One of the most startling things is that there no parties remain within the Right/Libertarian quadrant with the Liberal Democrats having moved quite significantly from Libertarian to Authoritarian. This will obviously be as a consequence of their coalition and influence of the Conservatives.

In the race for the right wing crown, UKIP have remained at the same on the left/right scale but have increased their authoritarian stance, and the Conservatives have remained similar in their authoritarian score but have decided to track even further right.

It can also be noted that Labour have remained well inside the right wing quadrant, they now outstrip the Conservatives AND UKIP on the authoritarian axis.

Most Scottish based parties appear to have remained very similar with the SNP taking a small step away from being authoritarian and the SSP apparently getting slightly less left wing. The Scottish Greens have remained exactly where they were before, even after their big surge in membership.

One thing is absolutely true for sure. This General Election will be absolutely fascinating and if you can predict the outcome then could you please give me the lottery numbers for Friday.
